      GENERAL SUMMARY:

      Under moderate direction, performs basic tasks according to highly specific departmental policies and procedures in order to maintain an aseptic, safe, clean, and attractive environment for the hospital.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

      1. Extract/Bonnet Carpets.

      2. Strip/Finish, Scrub/Recoat Hard floors.

      3. Remove Bulk Trash/Soiled Linen and Bio-Hazardous Waste.

      4. Complete Project Work, as assigned.

      5. Interact with Patients/Guests/Staff.

      6. Complete Set-Ups/Furniture Moves.

      7. Operate Electric/Battery Operated Rotary/Walk-Behind Machines, Wet Vacuums and Other Equipment, as required.

      8. Deliver Supplies (i.e. paper products, soap, etc.)

      9. Complete miscellaneous cleaning tasks, as assigned.

      6. Supports, cooperates with and demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules – including universal precautions - reports and prevents/corrects unsafe conditions and behaviors, and participates in organizational and departmental safety programs.

      7. Completes all required compliance standards that may be department specific and/or identified by the organization.

      8. Maintains current licensure, registration and/or certification, as applicable, at all times.
